TÜYAP’s Executive Board Chair, Zeynep Ünal Öztop, revealed impressive statistics for the first half of 2024, hosting 29 fairs with 5,252 exhibitors from 43 countries and 1,448,847 visitors from 158 countries. Öztop emphasized the group’s goals of enhancing fair quality, increasing participant and visitor numbers, and strengthening industry collaboration and potential.
Significant Growth in Participation
The first six months of 2024 saw a nearly 42% increase in exhibitors and an 8% rise in visitors compared to the same period last year. The fairs covered sectors such as furniture, books, machinery, agriculture, industry, textiles, stationery, and construction. Among the highlights were six fairs in construction and related industries and three in the book sector.
A Packed Second Half of the Year
Öztop announced a busy schedule for the remainder of the year, with major events including Intermob for furniture and mattress supplies, Maktek Avrasya for machinery and tools in September, and WoodTech for woodworking machines and Eurasia Packaging Fair in October. November will feature the Istanbul Book Fair, MÜSİAD Expo, and simultaneous Eurasia Window, Eurasia Glass, and Eurasia Door fairs. The year will conclude with Plast Eurasia and Karavanist in December.
